April, 2010 Board Meeting Now History

The April, 2010 board meeting of the Brethren Encyclopedia took place Monday, April 19 in the archaeology room of Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio. Board president Robert Lehigh chaired the meeting.
Routine agenda items included approval of minutes, review of financials, reports on the website and monograph series, and more. Some time was spent focusing on preparations and selecting leadership for the Fifth Brethren World Assembly, to be held in Brookville, Ohio, in 2013.
In addition, the Brethren Missionary Herald Co. of Winona Lake, Ind. was tasked with helping monograph series editor Jeff Bach bring the next several products through the editing and production process.
A special time of remembrance and appreciation was held for the life of Grace Brethren theologian, pastor, and author Dr. David Plaster, pastor of the Columbus (OH) Grace Brethren Church, who went to be with the Lord March 6, 2010 after a short and rare illness.
The next regular meeting of the board will be Monday, October 25, 2010, in Ashland, and any questions or agenda suggestions should be forward to president Robert Lehigh or any board member in advance of that meeting.
